The Media and Information Agency informs you of the approval of several decisions and draft laws approved at today’s government meeting.
The Council of Ministers approved the decision on the form, manner and procedure for reporting data by Licensing and Supervisory Authorities.
According to this decision, Licensing and Supervisory Authorities report to the responsible authority, the Financial Intelligence Agency, immediately and no later than 72 hours from the moment of ascertaining any suspicion, information or data related to money laundering, terrorist financing or financing of weapons of mass destruction for activities under their jurisdiction.
Upon the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers decided: The supervisory authorities, for the subjects of the law in the field of preventing money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, are:
Bank of Albania
Financial Supervisory Authority
Central government bodies
The Agency for the Supervision of Gambling or any other authority charged by law with gambling, casinos and racetracks, of any form.
Ministry of Justice
National Chamber of Advocates for lawyers
Ministry responsible for infrastructure for any person, natural or legal, whose object of activity is: trading in land, sea or air motor vehicles; forwarding and/or transport activities.
Financial Intelligence Agency for:
a) travel agencies;
b) construction companies;
c) businesses of metals and precious stones;
ç) any natural or legal person who offers the following services to a client
Public Oversight Board for:
a) statutory auditors;
b) approved accountants.
The decision to declare several areas “priority areas for the development of the mountain economy” in the territory of the Municipality of Kukës was approved.
The types of activities that will be carried out in this area are:
a) economic development;
b) industrial;
c) tourist.
At today’s meeting, the proposal to the Assembly for the appointment to the position of “General Director of the Institute of Statistics” of the following candidates was approved:
Ms. Elsa Dhuli;
Mr. Ledjon Shahini;
Ms. Lantona Sado.
While Xhemal Qefalia was appointed as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
Upon the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Council of Ministers adopted the draft law “On by-products of animal origin”.
The purpose of this law is to prevent and minimize risks to public health and animal health arising from these products, and in particular to protect the safety of the food chain and animal feed.
